JUDGMENT

These Criminal Appeals are directed against the Judgment of acquittal made in Crl.A.Nos.130 and 131 of 2011, dated 06.12.2012, on the file of the IV Additional Sessions Judge, Sessions Court, Tirunelveli, reversing the judgment of conviction passed in C.C.Nos.223 and 224 of 2010, dated 01.08.2011 on the file of the Court of the Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram.

2. Today, when the matters are taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant filed a memo stating that the appellant / complainant has received the entire amount as per settlement arrived at between the parties and also enclosed a letter sent by the appellant expressing his inability to appear before this Court. 3. In view of the compromise entered into between the parties, offences under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act stand compounded under Section 147 of the said Act.
