ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to implement the order passed by the first respondent vide proceedings Na.Ka.A5/6083/2023 dated 28.03.2025, and to issue patta for the land property measuring 51 cents, consisting of 30 cents in S.No. 58/7 and 21 cents in S.No.58/4, Murungoor Village, Ramanathapuram District, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is hereby dispensed with.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the lawful owner of the land property measuring 51 cents, comprised of 30 cents in S.No.58/7 and 21 cents in S.No.58/4, Murungoor Village, Ramanathapuram District. He further submits that the first respondent has already passed an order in Na.Ka.A5/6083/2023 dated 28.03.2025 directing the issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner. Despite the order of the first respondent, the second respondent has failed to implement the same and has not issued patta in respect of the property. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the second respondent requires ten weeks' time to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondent to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner and all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear

that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the second respondent to consider the same on its own merits.
