O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport based on the petitioner's application dated 19.11.2025.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the second respondent has filed a status report with effect that the petitioner pleaded guilty in three criminal cases in Cr.Nos.102/2014 on the file of the Sivakasi Town Police Station and Cr.Nos.1892/2017 and 397/2023 on the file of the Sivakasi East Police Station. These three cases were registered as against the petitioner under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Gambling Act.
3. The petitioner has been implicated in two other criminal cases in 2/5
Cr.Nos.22/2022 and 26/2024 on the file of the second respondent police station, which have culminated in filing of charge sheet in S.T.C.Nos.1758 of 2023 and 1096 of 2024, respectively, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Virudhunagar.
4. In view of the above facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Virudhunagar seeking permission of the court to go abroad. In case any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within four (4) weeks from the date of application. Depending on the orders to be passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Virudhunagar, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

Further, the petitioner is directed to produce copies of the orders passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate-I and Judicial Magistrate-II, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, wherein, he had pleaded guilty and punishments have been imposed in Cr.Nos.102/2014, 1892/2017 and 397/2023 before the first respondent. Based upon the aforesaid order copies, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.
