: Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take immediate steps to re-commence the buses that were plying from Anna Bus Stand to Karuppatti and Nachikulam, Mattuthavani to Solavanthan, Alanganallur and Arapalayam via Mathichiyam under the Goripalayam Bridge touching the Vaigai Vadakarai. *********** [Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.A.P.Muthupandian, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice on behalf of the second respondent.

2. Expressing certain difficulties faced particularly by women, owing to stoppage of bus services, resulting in residents of Mathichiyam, Goripalayam, Madurai, having to walk a distance of half a kilometre during night hours to board the bus, the petitioner made a representation dated 07.03.2018 before the first respondent. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition.

3. Considering the limited plea of the petitioner, we direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
