O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to extend the period of appointment after 24.12.2019 on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2020, in the light of the observation given by this Court, by order dated 09.11.2020 made in W.P(MD).No.24819 of 2020 batch. 2.The case of the petitioner is that she has completed B.Sc (Chemistry) M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D in ST.Hindu College at Nagercoil. In such circumstances, the respondents called for teaching fellow in the Department of Chemistry at University College of Engineering at Nagercoil. The petitioner has appeared for written and oral test and thereafter, she was appointed as a teaching fellow in the Department of Chemistry at University College of Engineering at Nagercoil, by 1/3

order dated 30.07.2015. Pursuant to which, the petitioner joined in the second respondent College and periodically, the appointment order was extended till 24.012.2019. After 24.12.2019, the appointment order was not extended. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 11.01.2020. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that initially the petitioner was temporarily engaged as Assistant Professor in the first respondent University. However, the service was discontinued in the year 2019 and thereafter, she was not engaged subsequently. Hence, she prays the aforesaid relief. 4.However, the temporary Assistant Professor working in the Anna University filed a writ petition in W.P(MD).No.24819 of 2018 before this Court. On 09.11.

2020 and this Court had issued a direction in para 51(C)and (D) in order to avail such benefit, the petitioner made a representation on 11.01.2020 before the respondents. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation in terms of the order of this Court in W.P(MD).No.24819 of 2018. 5.Since no positive direction was issued in favour of the petitioner, the appearance of the respondents is dispensed with. 6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer made by the petitioner, this Court direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is needless to state that if the decision of this Court is applicable to the petitioner, the same shall be considered and pass orders in accordance with law.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
