O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed for disobedience of the order of this Court, dated 28/03/2022 passed in Crl.OP(MD)No.4430 of 2020, thereby transferred the investigation from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent and further directed the 3rd respondent to proceed with the investigation and complete the same as expeditiously as possible.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an injured and due to the occurrence, his left hand was completely amputated. Though, this Court transferred the investigation to the file of the 2nd respondent herein and directed to complete the investigation and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, the second respondent herein did not even complete the investigation so far and sleeping over the matter.

3.On instructions, Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the occurrence took place in the midnight hours in the year 2018, the second respondent herein conducted a detailed investigation by suspecting so many persons and also arrested them and 2/4

after enquiry, they were released, since they were not involved in the crime. The petitioner was also shown many photographs, but he could not able to identify the accused persons. Therefore, the second respondent herein could not able to find out the real aggressors to the occurrence.

4.In view of the above said submission, the 2nd respondent herein is directed to compete the investigation and file a final report within a period of 24 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this contempt petition is disposed of. 23-01-2026 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No er 3/4
