Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks transfer of patta in his favour.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner's vendor's patta itself had been cancelled by the jurisdictional District Revenue Officer on 29.01.2021 and that therefore, the petitioner's request cannot be accepted.

4. If that be so, the third respondent is directed to send a formal communication to that effect to the petitioner. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. If the petitioner receives any adverse order, the petitioner can always challenge the same in the manner known to law. 2/4

5. Recording the said submission of the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
