This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the District Collector, Pudukkottai to take appropriate action, on the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2023 for transfer of registry in his name in respect of the land in question i.e., S.No.337/2 (0.04.0 Ares) and 337/4 (0.04.0 Ares) of Vadagadu Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he has made a representation to the District Collector, Pudukottai on 14.08.2023, requesting him to take action for transferring the land in S.No.337/2 (0.04.0 Ares) and 337/4 (0.04.0 Ares) of Vadagadu Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District in his name. The said representation was given during the grievance day held by the District Collector, on 14.08.2023. Since no reply has been received from the District Collector, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Mr.D.Gandhi Raj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

Considering the above said facts, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity to the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
