ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner. 2.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2, on instructions, would submit that the respondent police did not receive any representation, dated 15.12.2020, as contended by the petitioner and that the complaint, dated 04.01.2021, lodged by the petitioner with the second respondent police was registered as FIR in Crime No.04/2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148 and 427 of IPC. 1/3

3.The main grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 3 and 4 are rejoicing that only Bailabale Offences are registered against them and are also continuously harassing the petitioner with the connivance of the second respondent. 4.Though it is contended by the learned Government Advocate that the representation, dated 15.12.2020 was not received by the police, it is seen from the records that the petitioner has sent the representation to the respondent police with due acknowledgement card and the same is also filed in the typed set of papers. 5.Considering the said submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the investigation in Crime No.4 of 2021of Austinpatti Police Station, Madurai District, is directed to be monitored by the Deputy Superintendant of Police, Thirumangalam, Madurai District.

Further, the Deputy Superintendant of Police, is also directed to consider the representation, dated 15.12.2020 submitted by the petitioner and pass necessary orders after affording reasonable opportunity to the respondents 3 and 4, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
