O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct a survey of the land bearing Survey No. 92 of Thirupparankundram Village to assess nonagriculture and agriculture area and to issue housing pattas by taking into account the proceedings of the second respondent dated 27.08.2009 in Na.Ka.No. C3/19148/2009.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2/6

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that representation has been made on 11.05.2023 seeking the corporation to pass a resolution for issuing patta to the Sornam Colony residents. However, since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The respondents are further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may 3/6

be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
