Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of patta in his favour. The fact remains that the patta was cancelled and he has filed an appeal before the second respondent.

3. The second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The rights of the petitioner will abide by the outcome of the said appeal. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
