O R D E R

This petition has been filed praying to call for the records pertaining to FIR in Crime No.693 of 2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Devakottai Town Police Station, Sivagangai District and quash the same.

2. On a complaint given by the 2nd respondent / defacto complainant, the 1st respondent, after investigation, has registered a case in Crime No.693 of 2014 against the petitioners/Accused, for the offences under Sections 342, 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) of IPC.,

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) would submit that charge sheet has already been filed before the concerned Jurisdictional Magistrate and the same is yet to be taken on file.

4. The 2nd respondent / defacto complainant as well as the petitioners/accused are present before this Court and they are identified by the respective learned counsel and both the parties have filed a compromise memo stating that the matter in issue between them has been amicably resolved and therefore, the 2nd respondent / defacto complainant is not willing to prosecute the case.

5. The Court has also heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

6. In the light of the said compromise memo, no purpose will be served by keeping the Criminal Original Petition pending.

7. In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceeding in Crime No.693 of 2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Devakottai Town Police Station, Sivagangai District and the charge sheet filed before the jurisdictional Magistrate, which is yet to be taken on file, are quashed.
