ORDER
By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

Mr.G.Thalaimutharasu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is used to conduct Thai Pongal Festival for the past 8 years and that they intend to conduct sports events such as Kabadi, Cricket, Athletic etc., from 14.01.2021 to 16.01.2021 at Kaya Vembupathi Narayanaswami Koil in Kayavembupathi, Rasthakadu, Variyoor Post, Kanyakumari District. His further submission is that he has submitted a representation dated 04.01.2021 to the second respondent seeking permission to conduct the said events and so far, no action has been taken by the respondents. 3. Mr.R.Saravana Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) who takes notice for the respondents, would contend that there is no such representation received from the petitioner. His further contention is that as per G.O.(Ms) No.654 (Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-IV) Department) dated 21.11.2020, the District Collector is the competent authority to consider the request of the petitioner.

In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a representation to the concerned District Collector and on receipt of such representation the District Collector concerned is requested to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as early as possible.
5. With the above observations, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
