This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to rectify the petitioner's date of birth as 18.07.1997 instead of 19.07.1997, in the petitioner's transfer certificate, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2023.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, her date of birth is 18.07.1997. But in the Transfer Certificate, her date of birth has been wrongly mentioned as 19.07.1997. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 22.12.2023, seeking to rectify the inadvertent error committed in her Transfer Certificate with regard to her date of birth. 2/5

Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. Mr.SRA.Ramachandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent.

Considering the above said submissions, this Court directs the second respondent to correct the date of birth of the petitioner in the Transfer Certificate, as per the birth certificate and re-issue the Transfer Certificate, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2023, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
