ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to transfer the property tax in the petitioner's name for the Tax Assessment Number 4446 for her house and site bearing Door No.140,Karayiruppu Village, Ward No.8, Naranammal puram Selection Grade Panchayat based on her representation dated 15.10.2019.

2.Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.The case of the petitioner is that the above said house and site belongs to her father. After the death of her father, her three sisters and mother executed a release deed in respect of the said property in the name of the Petitioner and she has paid the tax to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.410 of 2020 the said site in Tax Assessment No.4446, which stands in the name of the Petitioner's father. For changing the Tax Assessment in her name, the Petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 15.10.2019. The same is still pending. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

5.Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
