ORDER

In view of the nature of the order passed, I am not issuing notice to the second respondent. The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the first respondent / the District Revenue Officer, Office of the District Collectorate, Sivaganga District, to dispose of an application filed by the petitioner in Na.Ka.B1.1891/2020 dated 04.02.2020. The said application was filed seeking a joint patta in favour of the petitioner.

2. Since the matter is now under the consideration of the first respondent, it may not be appropriate on the part of this Court to enter into a detailed discussion on the facts. Moreover, since an inquiry is ongoing, the only direction that can be given by this Court is to direct the first respondent to dispose of the application and complete the inquiry within a reasonable period of time.

3. Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the first respondent.

W.P.(MD).No.213 of 2022 of the aforementioned application on or before 15.02.2022. It is again reiterated that in view of the nature of the order passed, notice is not directed to the second respondent.

5. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
