O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to pay the arrears of pension to the petitioner with 18% interest for the period from 20.09.2010 to 04.12.2014, as per G.O. 1/3

(Ms).No.132, dated 20.09.2010, Department of Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (FAC), by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 18.12.2018.

2. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he was joined as Supervisor on 22.08.1956, in the third respondent District Central Co-operative Bank and retired from service on 28.02.1987. Thereafter, the petitioner has made a representation dated 18.12.2018, to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Special Cell, requesting him to pay the arrears of pension with 18% interest for the period from 20.09.2010 to 04.12.2014, as per G.O.(Ms).No.132, dated 20.09.2010. However, the said representation has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the representation made by the petitioner dated 18.12.2018, is directed to be considered by the respondents.

5. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the third respondent has no serious objection for considering the petitioner's representation, dated 18.12.2018.

6. Taking note of the said submissions made, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner, dated 18.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
