O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to sanction the loan amount of Rs.4,00,000/- from the petitioner's E.P.F account.

2. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as Special Grade Conductor in the respondent Corporation and the marriage of the petitioner's son viz., P.J.Sasikumar is going to be conducted on 25.01.2021. Hence, he made an application to the respondents on 18.11.2020, requesting them to sanction a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- from his E.P.F. Account No.10851. W.P.(MD)No.395 of 2021 not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the application made by the petitioner dated 18.11.2020, is directed to be considered by the respondents.

5. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that though the petitioner has made an application for Rs.4,00,000/-, he is entitled to a sum of Rs.2,80,000/- only.

6. Taking note of the said submissions made, the respondents are directed to consider the application made by the petitioner, dated 18.11.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 23.01.2021.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
