Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to initiate appropriate legal actions based on the petitioner's representations dated 12.07.2022, 19.08.2022 and 14.09.2022 in the light of the provisions of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 especially under Section 16 of the said Act within a stipulated time that may fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed to initiate appropriate legal action based on the petitioner's representations.

2.On a perusal of the representation, it can be seen that the petitioner requires a case to be registered. There is a procedure which is laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Lalita Kumari's case which is followed by the Division Bench of this Court in a case Prabhakaran Vs. State. Therefore, without resorting to the said procedure, the petitioner cannot file the present writ petition for a mandamus. Giving such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands disposed of.
