PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.Not known of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 85 and 351(2) of BNS, in Crime No.Not known of 2026 , seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners and the defacto complainant's husband harassed the defacto complainant and demanded dowry for the continuation of matrimonial life. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioners and the defacto complainant's husband harassed the defacto complainant and demanded dowry for the continuation of matrimonial life. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. It is seen that the defacto complainant's husband is residing abroad and is not paying even a single penny towards maintenance to his wife. In spite of a specific direction to pay maintenance by depositing a sum of Rs.1,00,000/-, the husband has not complied the order. The prosecution is directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. (S S Y J) 21.01.2026 jbr 3/5
