************ [Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus, seeking to direct the respondents to grant permission and provide police protection to conduct "Bullock Cart and HorseCart Race" on 28.01.2024 from about 06.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at Navakollai Village, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2023. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation of the petitioner has been rejected by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pattukkottai vide order dated 09.01.2024 bearing reference 10/J.fh.f/Kfhk;/gl;L/2023. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor also submitted that if at all the petitioner is aggrieved, he has to challenged the said rejection order dated 09.01.2024. 2/5
3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that liberty may be given to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents, rectifying all the infirmities pointed out in the rejection order dated 09.01.2024. 4.In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh representation to the respondents and the respondents are directed to consider the same afresh on merits and in accordance with law.
