Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give necessary permission and adequate police protection to conduct "Vadamadu Manju Virattu" in the village namely, Sullampatty, Poolangurichi Post, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District on 24.01.2021 on the eve of temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Chinniah Swamy Thirukovil situated in the aforesaid village based on the petitioner representation dated 02.01.2021.

Though learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the reasons stated in the representation are not true, taking note of the petitioner's representation made, which is yet to be disposed of, we direct the respondent No.1 to look into the same and pass a speaking order within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
