FOR BAIL CRIME NO.8 OF 2019 ON THE FILE OF THE RESPONDENT POLICE ORDER : The petition coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 26.02.2021 and the requisition letter of the Additional District and Sessions Judge/Presiding Officer, Special Court for EC and NDPS Act cases, Pudukottai, vide letter in D.No. 1506/2021, dated 28/10/2021 and this Court made the following order:

Today, this case is listed under the caption "Extension of Time for Trial Court".

2.It is evident from the records that this Court vide order dated 26.02.2021, has directed the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Additional District Judge Special Court for EC & NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai, has submitted a letter dated 28.10.2021, stating that the due to non production of witnesses and COVID-19 Pandemic, the trial was not completed within a stipulated time and he seeks further three(3) months time for disposal of the said case.

CRL OP(MD) No.498 of 2021 3.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to extend the time sought for.
