Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of certiorari to call for records pertaining to the impugned G.O.Ms.No. 266, School Education Department, dated 18.10.2000, on the file of the first respondent and quash the same as illegal in so far as the same provides for 1:3 ratio for appointment to the posts of Post Graduate Assistants in Commerce through recruitment by transfer from among the qualified persons possessing Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in the same subjects (preferential persons) and from among the qualified persons possessing Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in different subjects (non-preferential persons) respectively.

[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.] When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that he is not pressing this writ petition, on the premise that the petitioners are entitled to relief even on the basis of the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.266, School Education Department, dated 18.10.2000, which is under challenge in this writ petition. Therefore, he has no objection for dismissing this writ petition as not pressed and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
2. Recording the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the endorsement so made by him, this writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. No costs.
