PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the encroachment made by the 4th respondent in the pathway in Survey No.143/61, at North Street, Panniyan Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District with immediate effect without any delay.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Today (08.07.2025), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, based on the written instructions given by the 3rd respondent, would submit that encroachments are identified and the respondents require one month time to remove the encroachments.

2.In view of the said submission, the official respondents are directed to complete the enforcement action by removing the encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the Act within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
