Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :-For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.256 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.256 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 15.11.2022, the accused persons were found in illegal possession of 2.5 kgs of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any such offence, as alleged by the prosecution. He has been falsely implicated in this case, based on the confession of co-accused. Hence, prays to release him on anticipatory bail.

CRL OP(MD). No.300 of 2023 offenders had involved in the trading of ganja and sold the same in the open market. The petitioner is having previous cases of similar nature. Hence, prayed to dismiss the petition. 5.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 6.Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
