ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to transfer the investigation from the respondent No.2 to any other officer.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner produced a copy of the photograph showing the nature of injury said to have been sustained by the petitioner. The petitioner is said to have been attacked by the accused with sword. The photograph shows that the palm of the petitioner has been almost cut into two. Anticipatory bail application filed by the accused is also dismissed on two occasions, inspite of the same, the accused has not been arrested.

3. Considering the submission made, particularly, after seeing the photograph and also the fact that the accused has not been arrested and no appropriate steps have been taken in this regard, this Court is inclined to transfer the investigation to some other officer.

4. Accordingly, respondent No.1 is directed to transfer the investigation from respondent No.2 to any other Investigating Agency. The said exercise will have to be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
