PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 31.10.2022 pending before him under Section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame as stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2.All that the petitioner wants is disposal of the petition mentioned appeal. No exception can be taken to the said request. The second respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. will have to be necessarily heard before the final order is passed. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is for the second respondent to pass order one way or the other. 3.The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
