PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondent Nos.2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2025 for not to provide the electric connection in the name of the respondent No.10 in Survey Nos. 267/3 and 267/5 situated at Paniganenthal Village, Sivagangai District, Mangulam group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 to 4 not to provide electricity service connection to the tenth respondent.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner relies upon the order of interim injunction granted by the Mahila Court, Sivagangai in I.A.No.1 of 2021 in O.S.No.69 of 2021.
3. A perusal of the said order reveals the fact that the tenth respondent and others have been injuncted from alienating or encumbering the property in future.
4. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the tenth respondent, in violation of the injunction order, has continued with the construction work and has approached the officials of TANGEDCO for getting an electricity service connection.
5. A perusal of the records reveal that there is no order of injunction restraining the tenth respondent or any other respondents from putting up any 3/6
construction. There is also no injunction order not to provide electricity connection to the private respondents. Under such circumstances, the order passed by the Civil Court in I.A.No.1 of 2021 in O.S.No.69 of 2021, which prohibits alienation or encumbrance, cannot be put against the Electricity Board.
6. In view of the above said facts, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. In case, if the petitioner is able to get an order of injunction from putting up any construction or getting electricity service connection, the same will be considered by TANGEDCO officials.
7. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
