ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 353 of Indian Penal Code and Section 7(1) and 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Crime No.231 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, on 24.07.2023, during the regular checkup, A1 was found in possession of banned lottery tickets. The petitioner was added as A2 in this case based on the confession of A1. The investigation has been completed and the case is now pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani in C.C.No.229 of 2024 and the petitioner is shown as absconding accused.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to surrender before the trial Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order and on such surrender, the trial Court shall get a bond executed by the petitioner under Section 91 of BNSS by imposing necessary conditions.

4. With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
