The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code to transfer the investigation in Crime No.454 of 2020 from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent or any other agency.

2.The petitioner filed a complaint with the second respondent on 21.10.2020 contending that her unmarried daughter Yazini, aged about 22 years, went missing from her house since 07.10.2020 and that a group of men namely Karuppasamy @ Vignesh, Chellamuthu (father of Vignesh), Oosi Selvam, Ajithkumar Natarajan and Arunkumar demanded a ransom of Rs.5,00,000/- from the petitioner. Chinnatharapuram Police Station, Karur District and till date, the Police did not take any action on the complaint given by the petitioner.

3.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's daughter Yazini eloped with one Vignesh, Son of Chellamuthu and married him. His further contention is that the said Yazini made a statement before the police that she is a major and that she had gone with Vignesh on her own will and married him. Accoding to Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on verification of phone records of the accused, no calls were made by anyone of them to the defato complainant. 4.Recording the said submissions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of as I do not find any reason to transfer the investigation from the file of the second respondent as prayed for by the petitioner.
