ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.15 of 2015, in Crime No.4 of 2013, pending on the file of the III-Additional District and Sessions Court, PCR, Madurai, for an alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 3(1)(X) SC/ST Act and Section 4 of TNP Charging Exorbitant Interest Act 2003.

2. By passage of time, the parties have decided to bury their hatchet and compromise the dispute amicably among themselves.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the matter has been settled before the mediation, in which, the mediation report was filed and the same is recorded. Under such circumstances, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and as a sequel, the proceedings in S.C.No.15 of 2015, on the file of the learned III-Additional District and Sessions Court, PCR, Madurai, is quashed and the terms of Mediation Report shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
