JUDGMENT
J. NISHA BANU, J.
AND N. ANAND VENKATESH, J.
This Writ Appeal has been filed against the order passed by the learned Single Judge made in W.P.(MD) No.11375 of 2011, dated 2/5
13.10.2011, wherein, a direction was given to the official respondents to determine the inter se seniority between the writ petitioners and respondents 4 to 6.
2. Heard M/s.AL.Gandhimathi, learned counsel appearing for the appellants, Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 3 and 4 and Mr.R.Sampath Kumar, learned counsel appearing for respondents 5 and 6.
3. It is seen that both the appellants / writ petitioners, by now would have retired from service after attaining the age of superannuation. Hence, the dispute of inter se seniority need not be gone into at this stage. That apart, it was also brought to our notice that the first appellant has already been promoted to the post of Chief Engineer, considering his seniority. No useful purpose would be served in going into the merits of this case, due to the subsequent development. 3/5
4. In view of the above, this Writ Appeal stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. [J.N.B, J.] & [N.A.V., J.] 28.09.2022 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No rm To 1.The Secretary to Government State of Tamil Nadu Agricultural Department, Secretariat, Chennai.
