ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who are arrayed as accused Nos.3 and 8 apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 498(A), 494 and 506(ii) of I.P.C., and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment of Women Act in Crime No.7 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The prosecution case is that the accused had demanded more dowry and harassed the de-facto complainant.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the first accused, the husband of the de-facto complainant was already arrested and released on bail. It is further submitted that the first petitioner is the in-law and the second petitioner is maternal uncle of the defacto Complainant. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submitted that similarly placed co-accused were granted anticipatory bail by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the respondent had already completed the investigation and also laid a charge sheet in this case.

5. In the above facts, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of their arrest or on their appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur and on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Thousand only) each with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioners shall appear before the respondent police as and when required. The petitioners shall comply with the condition stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously.

6.
