O R D E R
Invoking the provisions of section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioners have filed this petition to quash the criminal proceedings in connection with a case in Crime No.7 of 2013, which seems to have been registered against them, on the file of the first respondent, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, attached to Kovilpatti.
2.It is obvious to note here that the second respondent Gangalakshmi has lodged a complaint against the petitioners and based on her complaint, the above said case seems to have been registered. 3.Now the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) has submitted that after completion of the investigation, the first respondent had laid a final report on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No1, Kovilpatti, which had also been taken on his file in C.C.No.141 of 2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.Since, the petitioners have sought the relief of quashing the criminal proceedings in the case in Crime No.7 of 2013 and the first respondent has laid a final report after completion of the investigation,
the relief itself has become infructuous.
5.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), this petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
