COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and select the petitioner in the category of scheduled castes Arunthathiyars Quota (SCA) for the post of Pharmacist, on the basis of the interview, which is going to be held on 21.05.2010, by implemending the Act and rules thereon framed under "The Tamilnadu Arunthathiyars (Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including private Educational Institutions and appointment of posts in the services under the state within the reservation for the scheduled castes) Act 2009 (Tamilnadu Act 4 of 2009).

Saravanan For Respondents : Mr.P.Thambidurai, Government Advocate COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider and select the petitioners in the category of scheduled castes Arunthathiyars Quota (SCA) for the post of Pharmacist, on the basis of the interview, which is going to be held on 21.05.2010, by implemending the Act and rules thereon framed under "The Tamilnadu Arunthathiyars (Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including private Educational Institutions and 2/5

2. The issues involved in the writ petitions are one and the same and hence, both the Writ Petitions are taken up and this common order is passed.
3. It is seen from the records that the petitioners have challenged the selection process to be held on 21.05.2010, for the post of Pharmacist. Due to efflux of time, the claim of the petitioners cannot be entertained since more than 12 years were lapsed.
