ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Electricity Board to take Meter Reading for the petitioner's industry on the last working day of every calendar month.

2. According to the learned Standing Counsel for the Electricity Board, for all the HT service connections, reading is taken between 26 to 29th of every month. The bill amount has to be paid on or before seventh of the succeeding month. The petitioner's company alone cannot seek a separate mode for reading on the last working day of every calendar month.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents have further submitted that in the year 2017, the petitioner's company has made a request for dis-connection of the said service connection and the 2/4

said request has been accepted and HT service connection No.162 has been dis-connected. According to the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, the HT line has also been permanently dismantled. The said statement of the Electricity Board is taken on record.

4. Therefore, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 13.07.2022 Index :
