ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to cancel Patta No.629 issued in favour of Raman, S/o.Sangan, in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.220/5, measuring an extent of 37 cents, situated at Kothankulam Revenue Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, and to mutate the patta in the name of the legal heirs of Late Sonaimuthu Konar, within the time to be stipulated by this Court, based on the representations dated 20.11.2025 and 24.12.2025.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 4 to 6, notice to the respondents 4 to 6 is hereby dispensed with.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the property comprised in Survey No.220/5, measuring an extent of 37 cents, situated at Kothankulam Revenue Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, originally belonged to his father Late Sonaimuthu Konar, whose legal heirs are entitled to the said property. However, Patta No.629 has erroneously been issued in favour of Raman, S/o.Sangan, without authority of law and in violation of the petitioner's rights. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations dated 20.11.2025 and 24.12.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking cancellation of the said patta and mutation of the revenue records in favour of the legal heirs of Late Sonaimuthu Konar. Despite receipt of the said representations, no action has been taken by the respondents 1 to 3 till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations 20.11.2025 and 24.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 4 to 6 and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
