O R D E R
This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for willful disobedience in implementing the order dated 02.08.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.18610 of 2024.
2. Learned Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the order of the Court is complied with by proceedings dated 12.02.2025. Learned Counsel for the petitioner also accepted the same. But on perusal of the order passed, this Court, while disposing the writ petition itself, directed the second respondent therein to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 19.01.2023, as expeditiously as possible in any event within a period of eight weeks. Though the appeal is disposed of by order dated 12.02.2025, admittedly, there is a delay of two months. Learned Counsel appearing for the respondent requested this Court to take a lenient view since the delay is only two months and to close the Contempt Petition.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the request of the learned Counsel appearing for the respondent, as
the delay is only two months, beyond the time stipulated by this Court, this Court intends to take a lenient view in this case and accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. The respondent shall be more vigilant and conscious in implementing the orders of the Court within the time stipulated in true letter and spirit in future. 20.02.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes MR
