Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as sole accused apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 406 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No.7 of 2015 and hence, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation against the petitioner is that he has demanded 16 1⁄2 sovereigns of gold and Rs.35,000/- as additional dowry and harassed the defacto complainant.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the respondent police has completed investigation and laid charge sheet in this case. It is further submitted that due to non-cooperation of the defcto complainant,mediation could not succeed.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the State and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thoothukudi and on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m for a period of two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the condition stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. Scrupulously.

6. The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail stands dismissed. sd/- 25/08/2015 *Amended as per the order of this Honourable court dated 14/09/2015 and made in MP(MD)No.1/2015 in Crl.OP(MD)No.11031/2015.

Time is extended for a period of two weeks to furnish the surety from the date on which the order copy made ready.
