Respondents PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 3rd respondents to instruct the 6th respondent to take necessary steps to conduct Pongal festival and to give the worship items for saamyaadigal from 6th respondent and ensure the regular religious practice that are adopted in the Arulmigu Sri Adaikkalangaathaar Ayyanar Swamy Temple, Valayapatti Scheduled to be held on 15.01.2026 and 16.01.2026 and consequently direct the 4th and 5th respondents to grant protection for the same by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2025 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 1st to 3rd respondents to instruct the 6th respondent to take necessary steps to conduct Pongal festival and to give the worship items for 2/6
saamyaadigal from 6th respondent and ensure the regular religious practice that are adopted in the Arulmigu Sri Adaikkalangaathaar Ayyanar Swamy Temple, Valayapatti Scheduled to be held on 15.01.2026 and 16.01.2026 and consequently direct the 4th and 5th respondents to grant protection for the same by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2025 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 4 and 5 and 6 and the learned counsel for the private respondent. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 23.12.2025 to take necessary steps for conducting Pongal festival and to give the worship items for saamyaadigal from the 6th respondent. However, since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that on considering the representation of the petitioner, necessary orders would be passed by the 3rd respondent.

Considering the said submission made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
