ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner had filed this Writ Petition seeking direction against the second Respondent to give police protection to the Petitioner and his family members from the Respondents 3 and

5. It is his submission that there are property disputes pending before the Civil Court between the Petitioner and the Respondents 3 to 5. The Respondents 3 to 5 had filed a suit in O.S.No.27 of 2015 on the file of the Sub Court, Theni seeking partition. The suit was dismissed for default on 01.03.2023. Subsequently, they threatened the Petitioner regarding partition. Therefore, he was forced to seek police protection from the threat held out by the Respondents 3 to 5 and their family members against the Petitioner and his family members. 2/5

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions of the Respondents 1 and 2, submits that the Police had received the complaint from the Respondents 3 to 5 and registered CSR.No.943 of 2023. When the parties appeared, the Police had advised them to seek the relief through the civil Court and on the basis of the same, they had closed CSR.No.943 of 2023. He would further submit that if there is real threat to the Petitioner, the Respondents 1 and 2 undertake that they are ready to protect the life and limb of the Petitioner and take action against the Respondents 3 to 5.

Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
