Seeking a direction to the respondents to give adequate police protection, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents and perused the records carefully.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) would submit that in his complaint he stated that on the instigation of his elder brother namely Matchakalai and another relative namely Mani, the petitioner's wife Vijaya threatened to kill him by mixing poison into the food. denied by them.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, and the contentions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this court is inclined to close the Criminal Original Petition with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate petition, in the event of any future threat against him.
