ORDER
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Assistant forthwith.
2.The counter affidavit filed by the respondents states that though the writ petitioner was not promoted as Junior Assistant during the relevant point of time on certain administrative reasons, he was given pay protection of award of Selection Grade and Special Grade on completion of 10 years of service and 20 years of service respectively. This apart, the writ petitioner was treated as surplus employee and subsequently, redeployed to the Department of Statistics and he joined duty in the Department of Statistics on 01.02.2014. This being the factum, thus, no further consideration is required in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.
