Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned notice issued by the third respondent dated 25.08.2020 and set aside the same and consequently, direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 and 31.12.2020 and reduce the demanded amount as well as annual rental amount.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for R1. 2.The petitioner challenges the impugned demand raised by the third respondent. The petitioner has been granted license to run a shop in the premises belonging to the local body. The petitioner, citing the pandemic situation, expressed his inability to pay the arrears.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader rightly points out that the arrears is in respect of the period prior to the pandemic. I, therefore, find no ground to interfere.
