ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the revision petition filed by the petitioner dated 18.11.2025, regarding the transfer of patta for the
land in S.No.75/3, situated at Somanathamangalam Village Group, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District, measuring 1.47 acres, in the name of the petitioner.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a review petition filed by the petitioner, which is pending before the Director of Survey and Settlement, Public Works Department Campus, Chepauk, Chennai, was not originally made a party to the writ petition.
4. As seen from the said review petition, the same was filed against the cancellation of the revenue entries relating to S.No.75/3, Somanathamangalam Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District. The said review petition can be disposed of by the Director, Survey and Settlement, Public Works Department Campus, Chepauk, Chennai, who is now suo motu impleaded as the seventh respondent in the writ petition.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the seventh respondent to conclude the review proceedings within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
