This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.12.2025.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the revenue authorities have mistakenly included the names of the legal heirs of Karuppayi, who is none other than the brother of the petitioner's father, in the patta, though they have no right or title to the property. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 01.12.2025 seeking deletion of the names of the legal heirs of Karuppayi from the patta. However, the respondents have not considered the same. Hence, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation would be Page No. 2 of 5
considered and an appropriate order would be passed by the second respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.12.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner, the legal heirs of the said Karuppayi and any others who may be affected by such decision. There shall be no order as to costs. [K.SURENDER, J.] 19.01.2026 JEN Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Page No. 3 of 5
