O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction as against the the second respondent herein to dispose the petitioner's application in O.A.No.5 of 2021 on its file with in the time limit fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed an application in O.A.No.5 of 2021 before the second respondent seeking modification of the scheme so as to recognise the petitioner and his sons as the sole Hugdars performing the Kattalai. Though the said application was filed in the year 2021, till date, the 2nd respondent has not taken any steps to dispose of the application. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the application of the petitioner in O.A.No.5 of 2021 would be disposed of in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the application of the petitioner in O.A.No.5 of 2021 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
