ORDER

Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. This Writ petition has been filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to implement the order of the State Transport Appellate Tribunal made in M.V.Appeal No.64 of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, so as to enable the petitioner to ply her Mini Bus bearing Registration No.TN 49 AT 6405 up to Thanjavur Bus Stand forthwith.

It is seen that as early as on 03.12.2018, the State Transport Appellate Tribunal has passed an order directing the Transport Authority, to conduct a joint inspection with the concerned Department officials, to verify the route of the Mini Bus, actual distance with the details of measurements with route map sketch of served sector, to verify whether served sector norms are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.613 of 2020 satisfied by the petitioner if permission is granted and to pass orders within a period of three months. The Transport Authority has issued a notice fixing the date of hearing on 26.02.2019. But, till today nothing is happened and no order is passed by the respondent and hence, this writ petition.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider implementation of the order of the State Transport Appellate Tribunal dated 03.12.2018 passed in M.V.Appeal No.64 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible without any delay, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
