JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.
2.The appellant herein participated in the recruitment process for the post of PG Assistant (Economics). The appellant was not successful. The appellant contended that one of the key answers is wrong. 3.Since his claim was not accepted, the appellant filed W.P(MD)No.1368 of 2020. The said Writ Petition was taken up along with batch of other Writ Petitions and dismissed by the learned single Judge on 14.10.2022. Questioning the same, the candidate filed this Writ Appeal. 4.The issue raised in this Appeal is no longer res integra. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the decision reported in (2018) 2 SCC 357 (Ran Vijay Singh and others Vs State of Uttar Pradesh and others) had held that the writ Court 2 / 4
should not engage in second guessing the correctness of the key answers. These are matters that are better left to academic experts. Of course, the writ Court can interfere that if the key answer is demonstrably and palpably wrong. Such is not the case here. It is for this reason, we are unable to interfere. 5.This Writ Appeal stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
